Limited copyright is claimed in the content of these web pages. The information has been compiled from copious amounts of research, and apart from our logo, designs and processes no real proprietorship in the content  is claimed or insinuated.

We acknowledge a number of sources from which we have compiled the text contained in this site, being harriscyclery.com, sheldonbrown.com, wikipedia.com, roadbikerider.com, webanswerman.com, ridebmx, mountainbikerider, cyclingplus, mountainbikeaction, cyclesport, aboutime, bicycling, ride, mountainbiker magazine, cyclelab.com, UCI, Cycling SA, cycling USA, entrytime.com, tandemcycling.co.za, trackcycling.co.za, thehubsa.co.za, encyclopaediabrittannica.com thequotablecyclist.com, cyclingquotes.com, quotegarden.com, 123rf.com,  bicyclesource.com, mundobiker.es, shimano.com, cultcycling.co.za, specialized.com, cycle-info.bpai, University of Toronto, Daniel Coyle, Richard's bicycle repair manual, Dictionary of Roadie slang, bikewebsite.com, The complete book of bicycling, Campagnolo.com, cyclovia.com, DT Swiss.com, Bikemaxpower.co.za, Adventureracing.co.za, but in fact so many other sites and publications have been included in the compilation of the information contained in these pages, we are quite uncertain how to acknowledge everybody.

The articles are intended to be executive summaries of the concepts contained therein, the foundation of ‘living’ documents to be amended and added to from time to time. The summaries have all been subtly textually changed and merged with other works, edited, and extreme opinions removed (as we try not to offend). In doing so the articles are no longer really original, and we couldn’t - in all fairness - indicate that the article reflected the original author’s opinion. Some might consider that - in itself- offensive.

Should you feel your copyright has been infringed, feel free to contact us to arrange either copyright accreditation, or to have the injurious section/s removed (with an appropriate apology).

Bicycling news, sales and more.

Consider a man riding a bicycle.  Whoever he is, we can say three things about him. We know he got on the bicycle and started to move.  We know that at some point he will stop and get off.  Most important of all, we know that if at any point between the beginning and the end of his journey he stops moving and does not get off the bicycle he will fall off it. That is a metaphor for the journey through life of any living thing, and I think of any society of living things.
